Using games to learn italian

Computers are a great technology to use while teaching a language. They offer a student many different creative ways to learn a  language while having fun. There are many websites that offer games to help learn Italian which I believe can be very beneficial to students. Here's a creative website I wanted to share with everyone that uses games to teach Italian.

  1. In high school when I took Italian classes, my teacher always had games to play on Friday. They usually tied into the lessons we had learned that week or previously and it was a great way to review the language and engage in conversation!

    1. Melissa,

I also think that games are a great way for one to master the Italian language. After perusing your site for a little I have found that it also contains flashcards and other tools to help students study. This in combination with the games will definitely show students that learning a language can be fun. As you know, we used online gaming to master locations and capitols of the Italian regions in our commercial Italian class and I was amazed with how a simple game allowed us to master geography so quickly. I definitely see how this is beneficial to students and there is no doubt in my mind that I will use games like this in my future classroom. Thanks for sharing this site!

  2. Melissa,
These games are fantastic. They not only are instructional by providing clear goals that the students should know by practicing vocabulary through whack-a-word or word searches, but they are also keeping the student entertained enough to want to complete what they are doing. I enjoyed most of the games and was consistently thinking that they would have been beneficial when I was in high school. These will definitely keep your students engaged as well as sharp with their practice of vocabulary that they are learning. These are great for any learner of the language or person who wants to learn the language. Great post (:
