I recently came across this website that lists 101 ways a teacher can incorporate technology in a classroom. my favorite part about this blog is that it just does not list 3 or 4 ways, but instead lists over a hundred! Some teachers use the excuse that they cannot use technology because the materials they are teaching do not permit them to use it. They also use excuses like they are unsure of how to incorporate technology, so they just stick to teaching without it. This website proves that you can incorporate technology in any lesson plan for any content area. Students today grow up using technology. I believe that it is so important to use it in the classroom because this keeps students interested and helps them learn in ways that they are familiar with. I also believe that technology is the future and for some students who do not have the privilege of using it in their homes, teaching with technology will help them learn skills that will benefit in the future.

I like the many different options provided by the blog, it definitely gives us many options when it comes time for us to incorporate technology into our own classrooms. Something that I particularly liked was how it also went in depth about internet and computer safety. As we know there are many responsibilities and dangers that come along with using technology and we must make students aware of the consequences, both positive and negative, of their use. Another thing that I liked about the blog is that it included real life application with the technologies provided. I know that I have been put in a classroom situation where I felt that I was using technology just for the sake of using technology, and its use did not really have a clear defined purpose. By showing students relevancy to the outside world through the use of classroom technology, we will not only be able to show them how important technology is in our current society, but they will also become interested in the lesson.

DeleteMelissa, what a great site to keep and use. Technology has seem to take a great part in schools and I feel that not a lot of teachers know how to use the right technology in their classroom. This site gives us tons of options of using technology, keeping in mind the safety of the students and the classroom when using computers and the internet.
